Instead of asking employees to constantly move between applications, find information, interpret it, and then carry out the next step themselves, AI can increasingly sit between the question and the system that does the work.
And that changes the way we should think about CRM.
Claudeforce is the expanded strategic partnership between Salesforce and Anthropic, which combines Anthropic's Claude with Salesforce's enterprise data, workflows, business rules, actions, and governance.
The first capability launched under this partnership is Salesforce in Claude.
It is designed primarily around sales workflows, giving sellers access to Salesforce context directly within Claude rather than requiring them to constantly switch back to Salesforce to find information and take action.
Salesforce says Salesforce in Claude includes 37 prebuilt sales skills, covering activities such as meeting preparation, deal health reviews, pipeline reviews, forecasting, and other sales tasks.
The important distinction is this:
Claudeforce is the broader partnership. Salesforce in Claude is one of the first products coming from that partnership.
That distinction will become increasingly important as Salesforce and Anthropic expand the relationship.
This is probably the first question many Salesforce customers will have.
Salesforce already has a significant AI strategy through Agentforce, so why bring Claude into the picture?

The interesting question isn’t whether Claude will replace Salesforce.
